![]() There are four books at the beginning of the New Testament that give an account of his ministry and somewhat of his life, although none of them covers every year of his life, because what he did in his last three years was all-important. My answer is, Since Jesus is the central figure in the Bible, and he explains everything else - if you understand Jesus, you are going to be able to understand the other parts better - then you need to get to know him first. Where should you start in this big library of God-inspired true books? So, 39 books in the Old Testament and 27 books in the New Testament. And the New Testament is about what he did, who he was, how he started the Christian movement, and how we are to live as Christians in light of all of that. ![]() The Old Testament comprises books that are preparing for the coming of the Son of God into the world - Jesus Christ. The old covenant entails the books written before Jesus Christ came into the world, and the new covenant entails the books written after Jesus Christ. The word testament is an old word for “agreement” or “covenant” about the way God was dealing with his people. And these are divided into two parts: we call them the Old Testament and the New Testament. Some are history, some are poetry, some is prophecy, some are letters and so on - different styles. So, these 66 books in the one book called the Bible are different kinds of writing. “Since Jesus is the central figure in the Bible, and he explains everything else, you need to get to know him first.” But it is important to realize that there were numerous authors - human authors - not just one. These were written by different people over a span of about 1,500 years, which makes their amazing harmony and unity and development all the more amazing. The Bible is a collection of 66 distinct books. Let’s start at ground zero, absolute zero, and just say a few big picture things that will help my simple, straightforward answer make sense. Oh, I would love to talk to such a person. ![]() Pastor John, here’s an email - not an uncommon one - from a listener who writes in to ask, “If I’ve never read the Bible by myself before, where should I start?” ![]() ![]() It doesn't have all the features that the other one had and that we aren't setting and we aren't setting the amount of time for the actual animation, but you could do that if you wanted to work on it further. We don't need to make them highlight when we're actually clicking on them because it'll do it automatically with the second part of the script. But that's going to get fixed when we do the next script and we make them highlight based on where down the page we are. The one thing we haven't done is made it so that the different links highlight as you click on the different sections. We've now finished the smooth scroll part of the script, and it's working great, as you can see. Understanding, sometimes, developers create these additional scripts that you can use and just get access to is really helpful. If I go back and test Safari again, refresh this page, refresh button's over here in Safari, scroll to the top of the page, second section, now it's actually working in Safari, the same as it worked in Chrome. Just by plugging that in, it'll now work in Safari. I want to put it before my script, so it loads first. Here, on the page, at the bottom of the page, here, I want to link to that file, script src="smoothscroll.js" that one there. #Smoothscroll plain js downloadI also have the same file already in the folder over here, so if you were to download that, it would be here. You could download this file here by clicking the download zip, here. It's this 'iamdustan' character, and GitHub wrote this smooth scroll polyfill. As it turns out, somebody wrote a polyfill for this particular thing, and it's over here on GitHub. #Smoothscroll plain js how toThese days, most of the browsers are pretty up to date in standards and there's very little need for polyfills, but it's a worthwhile concept to know about and it's worth figuring out how to use them. But really, what a polyfill is, it's a shim or some piece of script that's made to help browsers that are not compliant yet with standards work and those browsers will use that extra script to make it work. If you go just google 'who invented polyfill?' or 'where did the polyfill name come from?', Remy Sharp has written on his blog, in 2010, an article about how he came up with the name polyfill. A polyfill is a term that was created by a developer named Remy Sharp. What can we do about that? What we can do is we can use what's called a Polyfill. I manually commit all merged PRs using the -author flag to ensure that proper authorship (yours) is maintained. In the last video, we noticed that the Smooth Scroll was working fine here in Chrome, but it's not working properly in Safari. I may adjust the message for clarity, style, or grammar. Multiple commits in a pull request will be squashed into a single commit.

My failure was trying to create a playlist while the files were on the phone's drive. I guess a workaround would be to temporarily create a folder, copy over the existing files onto the hard drive, create the initial playlist. It did work, though, but only if I created the playlist while the files were on my hard drive. #Samsung music player playlist export android#VLC Android stubbornly refuses to show about half the playlist (Samsung music did show it all), even after I refreshed a couple of times. I have tried multiple USB modes with the phone (no difference), tried to make the phone's m3u playlist via external PC programs (winamp and similar) - they read the playlists, but new files don't seem to take hold. Since the mp3 player is 80% of my phone use, it's kind of important to me. I'd really like to quit lugging two phones around. ![]() It's a moot point since Player Pro now seems to be a buggy, useless mess with Android 11. Player Pro DOES check the recently added box, but doesn't seem to toggle multiple files up/down at once. When the playlist is 400 items, toggling one by one isn't really an option. I'd much prefer to do it on the pc, but I could edit the playlist from an app if the app would conveniently show recently added files AND I could quickly send multiple files from the bottom to the top. The editor comes up and seems to work, but the playlist file won't really save. Now, I can't make any fresh m3us from the PC.
